Kate Leighton, Colonic Hydrotherapy

Colonic Hydrotherapy, Food and Cleanse Coaching, Swedish Massage Therapy

Food has always played a leading role in Kate's life. Whether she was working as a cake decorator to pay for college, cooking vegetarian and vegan foods for a yoga retreat in Arizona , or doing raw food preparation in Los Angeles, gastronomy has always been at the core of her passions and her pursuits. Even while majoring in painting and printmaking at Lesley University she chose to focus her artwork on images of food and it's relationship to modern life.

In college she became very interested in yoga and the art of Ayurvedic medicine. This was her first introduction into “whole foods” and began her interest in healing with foods as well as other healing modalities based on ancient eastern medicine. After moving to Los Angeles she started working in a small privately owned health food and wellness center which inspired the decision to become a colonic hydrotherapist later graduating from the Internal Environment Institute.

She is certified at an Advanced Level by the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy and is certified in Muscular Therapy through her study at Muscular Therapy Institute (Cortiva).  She is our natural food expert at ISIS and provides great listening skills combined with down to earth advice, all from a love of food. This year, Kate has taken her love of yoga to a new level by becoming certified as a Vinyasa Yoga teacher.

Kate is one of our core therapists and has been an integral part of ISIS for seven years.
