Home Care After Massage

After Massage SuggestionsMassage can have wonderful lasting effects if you follow a few simple suggestions:

First consider spending 15-30 minutes in our FAR Infrared Sauna before going home.  It will help to speed the release of the metabolic acids and toxins that the massage has extracted from your tissues.  While in the sauna, drink as much Kangen Water as possible for an incredible detoxification effect.

Once at home, we recommend that you drink at least 2 liters of Kangen ionized water before the end of the day to cleanse the kidneys, the liver and the digestive tract.  If you have had an especially intensive muscle session, this may be necessary to handle the acids that can produce muscle soreness.  This is also a great time for Magnesium Lactate capsules which relax muscles and increases the hydration of body tissues.

Ice for painIf you experience muscle soreness a day or two later, try applying ice to the area for 10-15 minute segments until the soreness dissipates.  Before you go to bed in the evening, you may want to really soak your body for 30 minutes before bed.  We sell a wonderful ISIS Detox Salt Bath at the clinic made especially for soreness and muscle congestion.  So be sure to pick one up and pour the entire contents into a nice, hot bath for the best relaxation imaginable.

There are also some wonderful formulas to take following any massage session to speed the elimination of metabolic acids that cause muscle cramping, soreness and pain.  These can also make your workout recovery faster and with less strain on the muscles.
Magnesium Lactate - hydrates the muscle tissue and keeps muscles relaxed.  Take 2 at breakast and 2 before bed; you can also take 2 after a workout.
OPC Synergy - this formula of high-grade food and herbal antioxidants can reduce muscle soreness and increase oxygenation of the muscle tissue.  Take 2 at breakfast and 2 after each workout.
Burdock Complex - this herbal complex is the best for enhancing the elimination of metabolic acids such as lactic and pyruvic acids.
Traumeel - this is a homeopathic remedy available in topical cream or oral tablet for any muscle soreness, injury, sprain or strain.

If you are still experiencing soreness or muscle tension days after your session, it can mean that there is a blockage in the energy circuit for that muscle. This may mean you need a bit of extra work, so try an Acupuncture session to increase the energy through the muscles and the flexibility of the structures around the muscles.
